A vintage ring, quite idiosyncratic, dating from the 1940s. It features old hand-cut and faceted diamonds, all varying in size, arranged in a floral setting. The centrepiece diamond is three-quarters of a carat in weight, with the surrounding stones bringing in a further 1.17 carat. This brings a combined diamond weight of 1.92 carat - just a tad under 2 full carat of diamonds. Each stone is individually claw-set on a high coronet mount, with scroll-work leaves intervening, and hand-engraved shoulders. Crafted in 18kt white gold. Remarkable.
