Those old guys knew what they were doing with their diamonds: here we see Art Deco at its finest. This period ring, ca 1920s to 1930s, cradles for its centrepiece an old European-cut diamond, both secured and revealed in its ornate four-claw mount. Two smaller round brilliant-cut diamonds, one to each side, grace the shoulders, but so clever is the mount, each appears as somewhat trilliant, as somewhat supporting the centrepiece. Each has its own individual three-claw mount. The shoulders are further enhanced by baguette diamonds, in series of two to each side, set obliquely within the separating shank. An unusual style, a beautiful antique ring, 100 points diamond weight combined: it’s crafted in 18kt white gold.
